Since broadband transmission became possible, EUPEN cable has been involved in the design and manufacture of transmission lines. At a time when wireless communication in confined areas, such as tunnels, became an important business to the network operator, EUPEN cable developed high quality radiating cables. For important safety in railroad or metro tunnels, halogen free, fire retardant and fire resistant power, signalling and communication cables have gained important market shares. For more than 20 years EUPEN cable has focused on this safety aspects. Signalling cables with reinforced armour and anti-inductive protection is designed, produced and tested by EUPEN cable, in accordance to national or customer standards.
