ASELSAN, which is an entity owned by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV), provides innovative and reliable products & solutions with higher added value to its local and overseas customers, particularly Turkish Armed Forces.

Enjoying a position as one of the leading companies pioneering in technology in Turkey, ASELSAN maintains its sustainable growth in both local and overseas markets at present by developing competitive, reliable and environmentally friendly solutions with its workforce comprising about 3000 engineers and more than 5500 Employees. Accordingly, it successfully realises worth 1.5 USD (Billion) annual sales thanks to 2500 R & D Engineers in its workforce as of 2018.

Thanks to its system integration experience in a vast number of previous projects having a very well proven track record, particularly its know-how and experience acquired through its applications involving "power electronics", "motor drive and advanced control algorithms", "command and control" and "mission computers", it has launched efforts to transfer this experience and know-how to the rolling stock and signaling systems, which are part of the critical components in the area of rail transport technologies locally. Accordingly, development activities have been launched in the areas of "Traction Control Systems", "Train Control and Management Systems" and "Signaling Systems".

With that said, as of 2018 Aselsan has got its hands full with relevant projects ranging from metro refurbishing from top to toe or modernising locomotives and enabling them working hybridly or working on signalling systems of metros.
