ROV Railway Industry is the North American subsidiary of ROV Développement, located in France.
ROV Développement has been in business for 25 years and specializes in manufacturing cameras and robots for the railway, sewage and nuclear industries.
The North American branch is providing specialized equipment for the railway industry with solutions such as cameras, lasers and robots.
These tools are used for the maintenance, control, observation and prevention concerning the overhead catenary system (OCS), the rail system and small tunnels under the trackway which typically enable animals to cross from one side of a field to the other side.
With the CAMEROV® VISIOCAT © ® system, we measure and observe the thickness of the contact wires without any additional authorization from the rail agency, such as disruption to rail traffic and switching off traction power and by using only 1 to 2 equipment operators. This product is also used for many others applications such as checking the condition of the infrastructure, looking for component identification numbers of the catenary system, checking isolators, checking the train roof and the pantograph.
With the CAMEROV® HHD-E© ® system, we measure the height, the stagger and the superelevation of the rail with the catenary system directly on a manual ruler, using a hi rail vehicle or other maintenance type of vehicle with 4 axles. This system can also be mounted directly on the vehicle for the rail maintenance. A new option is possible when it’s mounted; the measurement of the track gauge with two lasers.
With the CAMEROV® TOR 200© ®, this robot is used to inspect small tunnels under the trackway, to check the condition of the tunnel, which is used as a crossing path by small animals.
