  • Train of Passenger Vehicle Failures Detection System (TVDS) is a part of railway vehicle safety monitoring system, this system makes use of the high speed camera installed near the track to detect the images of the visible parts, such as the running gear of the train coach, bogie, brake part, carriage connection and the suspension component in the lower part of the coach body, and transmit the images to the indoor monitoring terminal for analysis, and make use of manpower detection or image automatic detection technology to find the abnormal condition of the running train and alarm. The application and popularization of TVDS system is beneficial to improve the quality management level and the support capacity of train examination safety to achieve that the safety responsibility can be traceable. The system is composed by track edge detection equipment, track edge computer room equipment and train examination center equipment.
  • In 2012, we successfully developed the first line scanning TVDS system in the whole road, this system firstly applied large wide-angle linear scan digital camera to photograph the complete image of the whole bottom of the train to achieve the seamless splice in all directions (this system is based on the TFDS-3 truck fault track edge image detection system technology); It firstly used double light source compensation technology, which effectively improved the quality of the photos; In 2012, this system was installed in Shitai Passenger Railway of Taiyuan Railway Bureau for test, and passed the technical evaluation of Taiyuan Railway Bureau. In 2015, it passed the technical evaluation of Harbin Railway Bureau.
  1. Linear scanning technology is more beneficial to image automatic identification, it use wide angle camera to photograph each direction seamlessly, which facilitates to determine the position of the fault, it has strong sunshine interference resistance, it only images the moving object, the static objects will not be photographed, so that there's no background interference.
  2. Framing in narrow slit and sand, dust, rain and snow resistance are good.
  3. The compensation light is invisible, it will not affect train travelling.
  4. Integration and modular design, it is easy to install and maintain.
  5. Use double light source compensation technology, which can effectively eliminate the shadow of the pictures to improve the quality.
