The German Railway Industry Association (VDB) cordially invites you to our virtual VDB DIALOG FORUM DIGITAL as part of the InnoTrans Preview 2020. Climate protection needs clean mobility. And the world economy needs a green re-start. Rail 4.0 now interlocks previous antagonists: climate protection and growth. The railway industry in Germany provides new mobility: digital, fascinating, efficient. In European and global partnerships, we are jointly realising The Future Of Mobility. How can the mobility revolution 4.0 be put into action together? Top representatives from politics and industry discuss the Clean Mobility of tomorrow at the VDB DIALOG FORUM DIGITAL.

With excellent and economic railway systems for more sustainable traffic on railway tracks

The German Railway Industry Association (VDB) is the only trade association for German-based suppliers of railway equipment and services in Germany and represents the interests of its more than 200 members, OEMs as well as small-and medium-sized enterprises. The VDB is engaged continuously with media and politics, national and international authorities, institutions and rail operators.

With more than 53.000 employees in Germany, the member companies of VDB are developing and manufacturing systems and components for railway vehicles and infrastructure. Railway equipments, electrical and mechanical components, signal and safety technologies are parts of the wide product range as well as rail superstructure, electrification and information and communication technologies. Today, the German railway industry is among the most competitive industry sectors in Germany and is supplying with there products the rail operators throughout the world.

Owing to their innovation strength and a heritage of more than 160 years, the German railway industry contributes substantially mobility to people and goods, in the passenger traffic in sprawling towns and growing megacities as well as in the national and increasing international freight traffic. In the long term, the increasing passenger and freight traffic is only to align with climate and environmental protection targets if the proportion of the railway traffic is growing much bigger. In this way the futures traffic have the chance to gain sustainability and eco friendliness. The member companies of the German Railway Industry Association have available the excellent and efficient technologies to meet theses requirements.
